I have decided it is time for this season of blog designing to come to an end and will not be accepting any more jobs. I will still make available Free Scripture Tags, as well as other graphics available for a donation of any amount. Thank you for your understanding.

Custom Blog Design for Karen's Writing & Speaking Ministry

Karen at Surviving Motherhood won my blog makeover giveaway recently and her new look is complete. Karen is a Christian speaker and author of two books that focus on finding God in the trials of motherhood. I absolutely loved working with Karen and getting to know her better. She is a sweet and godly lady, and I'm pleased to call her my friend.

To celebrate her *New Look*, Karen is having a giveaway, but it is for today only (Thursday), until 10:00pm EST. Please go visit her blog for all the details. She will ask you a specific question about what the *real* element is in her blog design, but you will need to leave the answer over here at this post. I will announce the winner here tomorrow (Friday).

It’s great. I love it!!! I am especially fond of the flowers and squiggly marks at the beginning and end of posts. Thank you. So much! I am so excited about my new blog layout!

Hey Edie, love the blog design for Karen.

I just visited her blog and she sent us over here to tell you what we think you placed on her blog design to show the "real". I think it's the photo at the top right of her header where she's making that "face" (smile). Love it!

You're precious Sister. Love you.

Girl - you totally amaze me. Karen's blog is awesome. Seriously, the whole blog is "real" from the crazy photo's (which I love) to the design and theme. You rock. Hope you have an awesome December! Love ya bloggy friend.

Visiting fromKaren's blog. It is so pretty! I think the real thing about it is the picture in the right with her eyes rolled, and that the Cross is placed right behind her, you can't get more real than that!

I love the new look! It is friendly, inviting, and really shows the tenderness of motherhood. I don't know if I'm correct, but the element of "realness" that I see is the incorporation of God's word into and throughout the blog. Using scripture demonstrates the real power of God in being a mother and surviving motherhood. As a mother myself, I know that without God's strength and direction, I could not survive the journey.

Beautifully done, Edie!!

LOVE the blog-over you did for Karen's site!! Gorgeous!!

The real element? Well, I think I've found two:

1.) The last photo on the top with the eyes rolled & the cross strategically placed behind the photo...VERY REAL! ;)

2.) The word "Surviving" visually depicts the meaning of the word...it's a bit worn & tattered, yet still strong & bold...LOVE THAT!! Just like we are with God's grace...a bit worn & tattered, yet with His grace we are going STRONG! ;)

Love the look of this blog too! I have been away for wayyyyyyyyyy too long:) Love Karen's blog and LOVE the pic of her rolling her eyes. After reading her books, I totally "get" the "confessions of an irritable mother" by looking at her blog. The fact that God STILL uses us despite our struggles and trials and our "irritations".

I think Her blog is so open and loving in every way. It is so comforting and the photos are so real! I love the focus on surviving motherhood together, with God as our helping hand. It is a great real new design. Thanks for give my favorite page a new lift!
