Winner Announcement of Karen's Book Giveaway!

It's time to announce the winner of Karen's giveaway for your choice of her books! Karen sent her readers over here to tell me what they believed conveyed the sense of being *real* in her new blog design. Well, when I first began working, I immediately thought of that picture on the right side of her Header where she's looking up at God with an expression that says "What do I do now?" or something to that effect. Most of you guessed that picture and are correct.

As I worked though, I emphasized the message of *real* when I used the tattered, frazzeled font for the word Surviving in contrast with the graceful, gentle font used in the word Motherhood. So if you guessed that then you were also correct.

Karen expressed that she wanted a cross in the design and it just seemed right that the best placement was behind the "Help Me" picture to convey that surviving motherhood requires leaning on Jesus for His strength and that He is always right there. So those of you who guessed the cross and it's strategic placement, right again.

That leads us to the Scripture Tag. Karen chose the scripture that she felt accurately represented surviving motherhood. Exodus 14:14 so accurately expresses the complete reliance on God to help moms raise up their children, so I titled it My Strength as the final piece that pulled it all together. If you guessed the scripture you are correct also.

So this means that all of you had a correct answer and were included in the drawing. But alas there was still only one winner, and that person is.....

How to Pay Using the Payment Button

If you are having trouble making payment, the instructions below will walk you through the steps to complete your payment.

4. To pay by credit card you do not have to login to PayPal. Just click the continue link as shown in the picture below for step 4.

7. Click "Donate $xx.xx Now" to confirm your payment.

Pricing Information for Blog Designs and Web Graphics

When it comes to payment for online graphics and blog or web designs, I don't have set prices. I ask my clients to pray about it and pay the amount that God places on your heart. I am setup this way for a number of reasons.

1. God told me to do it this way and didn't give me any business until I did.
   
   
2. God knows my needs financially and wants me to trust Him completely to be my Provider, my Yahweh Yireh.
   
   
3. God knows your needs financially and what He will Provide for you to pay, and He wants you to trust Him for that.
   
   
4. I want to bless others with the skills that God has graciously given me.
   
   
5. Because my work is mainly for Christians, I am helping someone to forward the Kingdom in some way. I don't want anyone to feel that a professional appearance for their ministry is out of reach due to financial reasons. I believe God doesn't want anyone to feel it is unattainable also. If you are a Christian, your life is a ministry.
   
   
6. In the end, it's all God's doing and He is glorified. Including the design as I pray about that and ask God to direct me as I work.
   
   
7. I want to be a testimony to God's love and faithfullness.

I understand that it can seem difficult to come up with an amount but I can assure you that if you will pray about it, God will place an amount on your heart. He always does and I never question the amount.

My Services
Even though I design mainly for Christians, my services are also available to those who are not Christian. I do not design anything that is immoral, unethical, or in opposition to the teachings of the Bible, and I do not design for businesses that of that nature either. I ask that you consider and pay an amount that fair. I will trust God for the results.

Payment Information

Please use the Payment button in the sidebar to make your payment by credit card or PayPal. I will begin your design or installation after payment is received. All work is done in the order it is received.

Installation Information
I will need your Blogger login and password information to complete the install. You can change your password temporarily while I do the install if you are more comfortable with that. You can make changes to your Google Account by logging in to www.google.com/accounts and selecting the option to change your password.

Ordering Information
To place your order click on the contact button to send me an email. For custom work I will respond by email to discuss your design, personality, style, and ministry. It is very important to be as specific as possible to help me create the design you love.

My Story

I have been on a quest for a few years specifically to discover how God wired me, who He designed me to be, and how He wants me to live that out especially as it relates to work. The Bible says we should find satisfaction in our work.

So I decided there is nothing better than to enjoy food and drink and to find satisfaction in work. Then I realized that these pleasures are from the hand of God. (Ecclesiastes 2:24)

I am still learning but this is what He has taught me so far.

His Design:

• I love to learn. I'm very inquisitive!
• I am inclined to structure, organization, and efficiency.
• I am drawn to small things, like details!
• I am creative. I especially enjoy graphic design, but love many forms of creativity.
• I tend to notice personality traits and strengths in people.
• I am inclined to want to help people. Whenever I hear the words "I need" or "I would like", my ears perk up and I start thinking of how to make that need or desire a reality.
• I enjoy the challenge of custom work.
• I enjoy people but work best alone. When I am with people I want to talk which explains why I work best alone. :)
• My name means Rich Gift and I believe God still "...calls us by name."
• And most importantly ... I Love the Lord my God with all my heart. I want to keep Him as the Center of my focus and I want to help others make Him the Center of their focus.

His Direction:

I have come to realize that it was God who put this quest in my heart, to put me in the place where I could do the work He prepared for me in advance. The way these circumstances have been orchestrated could only be by His hand. I realized that His design makes me well suited to web and graphic design. I have had opportunities to develop skills in graphic design in my last two places of employement and, although that was not my main position at either job, I found that I loved it! My desire to glorify God with my work has also increased substantially over these last few years. What I mean by that is that I have developed a strong desire to get scripture into peoples homes so that the Word of God might be planted in many hearts. After much prayer I am convinced this is what He has prepared for me.

I am loving this new direction and thrilled that I can use it to plant seeds for God to water. I offer free scripture tags for anyone who wishes to display them on their blog or website. Printed scripture tags are inexpensive ways to share Christ with others. Framed scripture is a great way to let all who enter a home see the Word of God. With everything I create I want to share the Word of God.

His Purpose (and mine):
To honor and glorify God in all that I do.
I pray that you too will discover who God designed you to be and live it out to the fullest.

For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works,
which God prepared in advance for us to do. (Ephesians 2:10)
